Triple Oxygen Isotopes

Most of my research currently focuses on developing a new proxy for evaporation in soils and paleosols using triple oxgyen isotopes in the new Isotopologue Paleosciences Laboratory at the University of Michigan.

Ongoing Research Projects:

I have active field projects in Kenya, Tanzania, and Armenia. These projects are mostly associated with archaeological sites where I have been working to reconstruct the paleoenvironment. One of my long-term research goals is to understand the context in which organisms (especially humans) lived and the effects on their evolution and adaptation to their environment.
